Gemmy International will manufacture custom Platinum or 18K and Platinum jewelry from concept to completion. Our missive is to select fine gemstones and design au currant and scalable architecture around them. We will work from your design, or from one we create for you. We will provide you with an itemized estimate for each phase of production, and we will deliver the article within 15% of the estimate, depending on current material costs. We do not take rush jobs, this is always how quality and workmanship become compromised. Our manufacturing philosophy is a structured team approach—the wax modeler does the wax; it goes to the world-class caster; the mechanic performs the soldering; the stonesetter sets the stones; then the designer puts the finish on it. An analogy to illustrate the wisdom of this proven strategy through decades of designing: The modeler spends ten hours on a very intricate wax. This one of a kind, hand-made model has probably better than a 95% chance of surviving the casting process even if the caster has an above-average level of skill in this easy to learn, but difficult to master jewelry craft. This aspect is compounded by a factor of three when the metal is platinum. To date our platinum caster has a 100% rate of perfect castings. For the wax modeler this is a good thing.
A simple design may be completed in as little as two weeks and a very complex project may take as much as six weeks. Upon approval from the client to proceed with a project we require half of the itemized estimate.
